Horse Tail Hair Bracelet

Oh boy I think it has been way too long since I blogged....... grrrrrr nothing works right here.......... hmmmm I hope with some practise I will get my routine back

This was the first bracelet I made out my horses tail hair

and I made some more for my friends from their horses tail hair

All together I made about ten bracelets from tail hair - mostly for the horse owners birthdays and well I must say that they all were really excited about it.

Break Because I Got Bitten

I got bitten by one of my cats because a stray cat sneaked into our house and Moritz had a big problem with it. I picked Moritz up to pass the stray cat with him on my arm.............. well picking him up infront of the stray cat was too much for his ego.......

I got hospitalized for a whole week including surgery.......... I denied to get a general anaesthetic - so I was wide awake, the surgery-team was really funny and they gave me two Ferrero Kuesschen, when I got rolled out of the operating room

(only continue looking if you have a stronger tummy)

Hello Blogger-World

Hey Peeps out there - well yeah I´m still alive! I hope you all are doing great - like I do. Live has been and still is crazy. I havent sewed alot since my last post - actually I only fixed some stuff. But I still have been crafty - I´m interested in sooooo many things I would like to try, to do, to learn.......... but the time is always so little.

The last few weeks I felt like I need to do some blogging again - and well here I am

Some Flowers For Little Amelie

My friend Hans and his wife Ute have asked me if I would make a quilt for their newborn godchild Amelie. Of course I would - besides that I never wouldn´t have said no - since they are such great friends to me.

Ute asked for some apple-green and thats the fabric I have to make a pick for the project

For this projec tI always had the wonky logcabin in my mind

Name got appliqued....

.... and so some flowers

the orange was originally planned as sashing...... but somehow - after adding the sashing - the quilt looked kinda finishd to me and so it did to many more wonderful ladies I´ve asked for their opinion - so lets sandwich the layers

with a few night hours working to bind the quilt, I finished it just in time to be hand over on Amelies baptism

I hope Amelies parents like this quilt - I´m looking forward to get a feedback from them

Trip To Buttinette -> Germanys "Joanns"

Buttinette is a online-shop where you can buy all kinds of crafty things (well you can also order via telefone, fax or mail) and they have one shop at their place of business.

thats the catalog I normally browse through..... over 500 pages

On a Saturday in September we finially set the date for our trip to Buttinette - we even had a chauffeur (Mariannes husband, Nicoles Dad). He offered to drive us, even after we warned him that it might take some time until we would be done shopping. Still willing to drive us, because he will go for a walk while we are shopping (poor guy - it start pouring down pretty much after we got in the store and didnt stop for the whole time we were in the store, so he was patiently waiting in the car).

After a fun ride through the smallest streets (I guess the Navigation was set for shortest way) we arrived at Germanys "Joanns"

they even have a seperate store for Fasching (carneval) and costumes (still closed since Fasching starts at 11.11. every year)

the store we want to go

the store aint very big and they would sell alot more if it would´ve been placed in the shop not just the warehouse. The stuff is very friendly and they run to the warehouse to get all the things you want (they run alot). It still took us 2 h for 700 sqm

on the way home we stopped for lunch - it was yummieh

here are my goodies I bought - thank you to Nicole for the giftcard (as you can see the money was wisely invested - lol)

It was a fun day and we decided to do it once a year - just for the fun.
