Four Forgotten Stars

I totally forgot about those stars I have sewn in December. They are for a great memeber of the QF , she had a big down in her privat life and hopefully they will cheer her a little bit up. And if all is being settled again she even might find some time for some sewing

Some Sewing In Texas

Nicole is such a great friend, she took quite some of her spare time to resize the pics of my camera and mail them to me! Girl you rock!!!

Before I went on vacation I have asked Nicole if she likes those lampions and if she is interessted in to sew one. I have received the pattern from Baloo a member of the Quiltfriends - big THANK YOU.

I want mine to match the colors of my livingroom, so I went with blue and green fabrics

we started with the zigzag border - it took quite some time to make those

 Antonio, he kept us company this one evening - and no he´s not buzzed ;-)

Nicoles is one the left and mine is on the right - nope we dont really have an idea why we have different sizes. The pattern was in cm and we only had inch-rulers and mat - propably the mix-up happened at the conversion

The following pics I had to borrow from Nicole - somehow I dont have them. Nicole had a cord with light attachment in reserve and look what the lampions look like when they are glowing ;-)

Block For Silas

Gabi  from the QF asked if some of the members wanna help to make a quilt for the special Silas. Since I had time... of course I wanna help Gabi. Silas likes horses, anything with wheels and anything with going swimming

Postcard In The Mail

Letzte Woche war eine wunderschöne Dankes-Postkarte mit ein paar lieben Worten im Briefkasten von Lina Sophies Mom und grossen Schwester. Ich war total überrascht und hab mich sehr darüber gefreut mit ein paar feuchten Augen. Lina Sophies Mom bekam einen Erinnerungsquilt an dem ich auch ein paar Blöckchen genäht habe - es gibt auch eine HP über Lina Sophies Lebenslauf.

Ich wünsche Lina Sophies Mom und grossen Schwester weiterhin alles Gute und viel Kraft.

Its About Time For Some Halloween-Stuff

I just got a email from Keepsake Quilting with the info that their new catalog is in the mail. I truly love to flip through it and see all the pretty stuff in there. Something cought my eye in the email - its called Halloween magic and it looks like this

Somehow I fell in love with it and I NEED to have it - so why wait for the catalog - I just hopped on their website and ordered it. What a bummer they have back ordered it and the kit will be expected by end of August. Hopefully two weeks for international delivery *note for customs: Hurry up I really need it* and then I need to rush to get it done before Halloween. For the quilting I will use my night-glowing thread - how cool will this be when the wallhanging starts glowing in the dark?!?

Ok Ladies, thanks for all the comments about how you would use the travel sewing case - I´m sure all of you would give the case a great home. The comments are printed and they will be in the pott as soon as I get off work. I deleted one comment from Alicia because she forgot to put her name in at her first one - sorry no double chance *lol*. It looks like the gals of the german forum forgot to check back the blog - so there are less comments and you ladies have a better chance to win the travel case.

Finially it´s Weekend

Finially its weekend and I had time to unpack all the squishies envelopes I have recieved for my birthday. I´d like to have b/w or 1930´s fabrics and this is what I got

Fast alle sind da

Am Montag lagen 2 dicke Umschläge in der Mailbox und gestern waren es nochmal 3 - jetzt sind sie fast alle da. Ich freu mich schon aufs Wochenende, damit ich die ganzen Schätzchen in Ruhe und mit Genuss auspacken kann. Vielen lieben Dank an euch!

Wow noch mehr squishy Umschläge!!!

Bereits letzte Woche Donnerstag und Samstag sind noch ein paar Umschläge eingetrudelt. Das wird ein Spass werden die alle auszupacken - uihuihui und ich muss mich wahrscheinlich noch bis zum WE gedulden, da ich heute kaum Zeit haben werde und die restliche Woche abends auch nicht anders aussieht. Aber spätestens am WE werde ich über die viiiiielen Umschläge herfallen und mit Genuss und Ruhe (muss sein!) auspacken.
