FNSI Jan 2013 Results

I was so looking forward to spend the evening in my sewing room. I actually had to because I need this quilt done by Sunday.

finish the quilting was my goal for this evening/night

almost 3/4 of quilting were already done - so I should be able to finish it up at the FNSI

to bad that I couldnt catch it very good on the pics

1.30 am I was done with the quilting and more than ready to go to bed

FSNI October 2012 - Results

Here are my results of FNSI - at first I had to get my electrical heater cuz my regular heater didnt work in my sewing room and it was freezing cold there. After a few minutes it was nice and warm and I was able to start FNSI

 

 

Here is the fabric choice for the backing of top Isabella

cutting, sewing and some irioning......

 

voilà and the backing is done......

and now the batting......

 

......yep I piece some battings from leftovers

and done.......

FNSI February 2012 - Results

Here are my results of last night sewing - I really enjoyed spending time in my sewing room.

I still had to applique ten more stars for the border

Rocco loves weired sleeping places

too funny how he squeezed himself underneath the rack

wohooo I made it, ten more stars are appliqued - this makes a total of twenty

my not so favorite part of appliqueing is to remove the stabilizer afterwards

stabilizier removed and threads sewn in - yay!

 ten white and ten red rows are sewn together

 
 It was a few after 1 a.m when I went to bed. The progress of my project is ok but I´d wanted to do more - somehow the time went by way to fast........ or I´m getting slow - lol!

FNSI February 2012

Here we go again for a fun night this coming Friday - click the button and join the fun

I have to check on what I will do this coming Friday. It depends on how much time I´ll be able to spend sewing during this week.

FNSI January - Results

All day I was looking forward to disappear into my sewing room and I managed it to do it quite early.

My plans were to sew on the binding on my X-mas tree skirt

and to put the rows from birthday-block-swap  from 2009 together (my current ufo I´m working on)

I was hoping to get quite some work done this evening

I need to sew on the binding in the circle also - but first I need to hand stitch down the edge binding on the backside - this will happen the next few days

I also started to sew some more red-white-red strips together 

to finish the rows of my patriotic quilt. The blocks are from a swap from 2009

For myself - I think I made a good progress on my projects.

1. FNSI December - Results

I know I´m late for posting about my FNSI results - to be honest I was just to lazy to download the pics and post about. Better late than never..... here they are......

I´m done quilting and now......

.... the quilt keeps me busy with sewing in threads

this is what I´ve got done in 1,5 h

Not alot but better than nothing right!?!

Ok - this time I got very late into my sewing room and before I´ve started sewing I had to do some serious online-shopping :D 

I got the star top done

and trimmed the wallhanging, to sew on the hangers and the binding. Now I will have some couch time with the wallhanging while sewing on the binding at the backside by hand.

Plans For FNSI - November

I´ve got quite some projects I can work on tonight......

.....a star table topper.....

.....sewing on the binding on one side with the machine.....

......and sew those together to make more stuffed trees.......

Sooooooo......... will see how soon I will be in my sewing room tonight and how much I will get done before I get too tired. Happy stitchin!!!
