Binky Bag

I was browsing through some of my books when I found this pattern...... binky bag........ babys first bag :)

The lil bag looks alright from the outside

but oh boy..... the inside - I totally screwed it up.....a pleat and somehow twisted 

and of course the thread made loops too.... :(

Maybe I´ll try to make a second one sometime this week.

And Some Sewing Again

I also kept working on baby Lena´s quilt

stitchery "baby girl" is done and the top put together

binding is waiting on the wooden spool (I really love to use the wooden spool for rolling up the binding)

simsalabim....... the layers are sandwiched.

Old Wooden Suitcase

The next old thing I´m working on - a old wooden suitcase. I can´t remember, if it was a flea market found or an bulk rubbish found. I´m not sure what I´m going to do with it when I´m done..... I´m sure I will get an idea until then.

The whole thing acutally looked terrible

The paint is off but the wood itself doesnt look to good....with a black/moldy look

I´ve heard somewhere that this happens when the wood gets painted before its dried through

I added the right slat because it was missing

the hardware was all rusty but some polishing and voilá

I´m still thinking about if I leave the wood all natural or if I gonna paint it dark brown again........ not sure about it yet.

Barbarossa Spectaculum 2012

The Barbarossa Spectaculum was already back in August. It was a beautiful day at a beautiful fortress with midage fairs, shows, food aso. I took way to many pics and since I dont wanna bore with a post of never ending pics I put some collages together

It was a fun day with my friends - I even tasted "Waldmeister"-Bier (woodruff??) - it was very very yummieh but you shouldnt drink it when you are real thirsty and not even thinking about having a second one - lol!

My Next Project

I´m pretty thankful that it´s slowing down with yardwork and all the other work outside.........and I can get bussy with some more quilts. My friends Manu & Thomas became parents three weeks ago and actually 2 weeks early as planned. I havent seen their lil girl yet since I dont wanna show up with nothing quilty in my hands (oh and as an excuse they didnt tell the baby-girls name ahead). So, last Saturday I pushed the pedal to the ground to get started and some needles glowing

 

Wedding-/Memory-Quilt

Well I wasnt sewing alot during summer but at least this much, to get this quilt started in finshed just in time. The deadline was September, 16th and yay me, I finished this quilt one week before (I havent known that a year passes by so fast - sigh). Micha & Andy got a gift coupon on their wedding for a surprise within a year but at the latest on their first Anniversary
